Tips for Picking Out the Right Monokini for Your Body Shape

On Wednesday, April 27th, 2011

Choosing the perfect swimsuit is important if you have decided to wear a monokini this year to the beach. While monokinis are smoking hot swimsuits, their lines are usually based on a body shape that is proportionate. If you have a smaller butt or a smaller chest, some of these swimsuits may not fit you right. This means that it is very important that you find the perfect cut in a swimsuit. To help you out, here are several tips for picking out the right monokini for your body shape.

Tip #1 – Consider the different cuts. Some have cuts down the sides leaving material at the naval. Others have cutouts down the front, leaving some fabric on the sides of the swimsuit.

Tip #2 – Larger cutouts look best on girls that are slim and they really play up the curve of the waist.

Tip #3 – If you want to look a bit slimmer, going with simple block colors, especially in dark colors, will slim you down. Avoid white or metallic swimsuits, which can show off any bulges that you may have.

Tip #4 – You also need to choose the right pattern. Avoid any horizontal stripes, which will make your body appear wider than it is. Large and very small prints can also show off extra pounds. Single colors or strips that go diagonal are slimming choices.

Tip #5 – If you have a larger bust, a v-neck cut will help to make your figure look elongated and slimmer. Some women with larger chests may want to go with a swimsuit that offers more support.

With these tips, you’ll be able to choose a monokini that will look good with your figure. Although it may take you a bit of time to find the perfect fit for your body type, when you grab all the attention at the beach, it will be well worth the time spent finding the perfect monokini swimsuit.
